Our Mission

The Richmond Brain Tumor Support Group is a non-profit dedicated to providing support for brain tumor survivors and their loved ones, promoting awareness for brain tumor issues, and advocating for brain tumor research in Central Virginia.

Cure BT Logo

The Cure BT slogan and image were created by Richmond Brain Tumor Support Group members Bill and Jean Greishaber, with some design help from member Joe Nagy. The design is intended to send a clear message of hope for a cure for brain tumors.

Events

Brain Tumor Action Week at the beginning of May each year provides opportunities for promoting awareness. Past events have included trips to Washington DC to attend a national meeting on brain tumor issues, setting up information tables at area hospitals, and even a benefit concert produced by members of our group.

News

There is an online support group brain tumor resource from an organization called Physicians for Patients. Physicians for Patients have established this online version of a social support group for those living with brain tumors, their families, and their sup-porters. One thing that makes this new resource unique is that the forum is physician moderated, allowing users to interact with each other; as well as, with a physician specialist, at no cost.  In order to take advantage of this new physician moderated online support group, go to http://braintumors.physiciansforpatients.com/.
